Dentistry and Information Technology: Ethical and legal ConsiderationsBreakout Sessions
The Congress program alternates plenary sessions with parallel breakout sessions. Each breakout session will last between 60 to 90 minutes and accommodate the presentation of up to 3 submitted papers. In addition, there will be an opportunity to display and discuss posters.
A list of possible topics can be found below. However, this list is by no means exhaustive. Any proposed paper or poster that has direct relevance to the main theme of the Congress, that is, "Dentistry and Information Technology: Ethical and legal Considerations", will be considered.
Proposals must be written in English (maximum length of 500 words). There will not be simultaneous translation during the Congress. However, the Congress Organization wishes to foster a genuine international dialogue. Hence, we encourage citizens from non-English speaking countries to submit papers or posters; conversely, native English speakers are kindly reminded to adjust style and speed of presentations to their multi-lingual audience.
Review & Acceptance
All submitted proposals will be reviewed by a scientific committee. A notice about the outcome of the review will be sent by email.
Please note that accepted papers will only be included in the congress program after the submitter has registered for the Congress and paid the applicable Congress fees in full.
If so requested the Congress Planning Committee will send the submitter a formal letter acknowledging acceptance of the presentation, which the submitter may use to seek financial support from a third party sponsor.
Discussion Session
A discussion session consist of one or more short introductions, followed by an extended discussion with the audience. The total duration does not exceed 90 minutes. The Discussion Session must be held in English. The individual submitting a proposal for a Discussion Session is responsible for indentifying the individual(s) who will introduce the theme for the session, coordinate the preparations for this session, and lead the discussion during the actual session.
Oral Presentation
Individual presentations shall be 15 to 20 minutes in length, followed by 5 to 10 minutes of Question & Answer time (for a total of 25 minutes). Presentations must be held in English. Any presenter who wishes to distribute handouts must bring these in sufficient quantities.
Printed Poster
Posters shall be limited in size to three folios per person, each measuring approximately 14" x 24" or 35 x 65 cm. Please use a large font size (e.g., 24pt). Posters must be prepared in English.
